Caspian HC
2019
Caspian is my little home-bred prince. He was born in 2019 and my initial plan was to sell him, that's also why I picked his sire "Comme il faut". Although I call many grey horses my own, I always dreamt of a chestnut. So foolishly I said: "If this foal is going to be a chestnut and a stallion, I am going to keep him". The odds were not good of actually getting a chestnut. But when he was born, there he was: my chestnut stallion. The first six months I was trying to think of excuses, why I cannot sell him - until I officially decided that I am keeping him. I haven't regretted keeping this gem in my herd ever since!
Here are five facts about Caspian:
With him, everything is easy! He was very easy to handle as a stallion, his first steps as a riding horse were easy - it seems like there is nothing that this horse can't do
Initially it was the plan to get him ready for the stallion licensing - but as he was growing a lot and was out of proportion and also had a lot of difficulties to navigate his huge body, I decided to geld him and just let him grow. It was not until he turned five that he was more capable of using his body
He's very smart, but does hide it. That's why people who don't know him or only catch a glimpse of him in his everyday life think he might not be the smartest horse - but trust me, he's quite an intelligent boy
He is very friendly with other horses and almost every horse gets along with him
He's brave, there is almost nothing that scares him, which has been a huge bonus while getting him ready for his future as a riding horse
